Internships Available!

Hayfield offers internship opportunities for students of Historic Preservation or related fields. An internship at Hayfield is done in conjunction with a university or college for credit towards a degree. Students will learn about wood, nails, and construction techniques used during the different phases of construction at Hayfield. Hayfield Manor provides students with the opportunity to research decorative woodwork, landscape and historic land uses, as well as conduct a chain of title search. In addition, students will gain real life experience in an adaptive reuse setting – incorporating information on the mining operation on site and participating in event planning at the manor.
